Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. She is the current president as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss comes born in California, was raised in an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur with a real estate business who later was the owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. Their relationship ended in 1972 and she began to feel emotionally neglected. In the year 19 she became the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. In the future she founded her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She served as the director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the duties of the vice president for the Lakers. Buss along with her five siblings and brothers as well as their father who owned the Lakers and was their controlling shareholder until his passing away in 2013, received this ownership through a trust. The five siblings were entitled to the same vote rights. Buss assumed the role of the head for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional organization that has its headquarters within Los Angeles.
